Call to pause on deep-sea mining. Samsung, Volvo, Google and BMW joined World Wildlife Fund's call to stop financing deep-sea mining activities. Deep-sea mining helps suppliers source minerals needed to manufacture many products including appliances, batteries, and cars. link
Electric Vehicle powered trips coming to ride sharing. Over 1400 cities in North America will see Uber's EV or hybrid rides for customers. Will be interesting to how this program expands. link
Major U.S. airlines commit to net zero initiative by 2050. Tough goal but this collective milestone setting will push airlines to think creatively about how to tap into sustainable aviation fuel at scale and implement carbon removal measures while keeping airline experience good and costs down. link
ZeroAvia raised fresh funds to develop zero-emissions aircraft powered by hydrogen. Investors include the British Airways and Bill Gates. link
Carbon labels for shampoo bottles. Companies like Unilever wants to put carbon labels on products so consumers can see carbon footprints of the products. link
